The FaceShop’s Check Nail Set Give-Away!

When I first started this tumblr, I thought to myself, I’m gonna do a give-away once I’m up to 50 followers. Well, now I’m now up to 50 followers! This is gonna be REAL simple.

Rules:

3. This is open internationally, and I’ll be covering the shipping costs.
4. I’ll also pick two other people as runner-ups to send some really awesome samples from various make-up shops. Mostly Skin Food and the FaceShop!

This is a reply to those posts that say things like “real women have curves!” etc. Not having curves doesn’t make you any less of a real woman.

Note: I am not trying to imply that HAVING curves makes you less of a real woman either… 

I’m focusing on messages that I’ve seen on Tumblr that put down skinny girls, such as one that I saw that said “Men like meat on their girls, bones are for dogs” (something along those lines). I think “real women have curves” is better, and it’s great about encouraging women of all shapes to feel okay in their skin, but it’s unnecessary and wrong to have to put down skinny girls in the process :)

This. This so much. Although, I actually do like the “real women have curves” thing, since it’s a positive message and all. Mostly I just have always hated the implication that skinny girls aren’t “real” women, whether that’s how they’re naturally built or not~

Explanation: Being nice to people doesn’t mean you’re a fake person, either you 1) are just a nice person, 2) WANT/TRY to be a nice person, or 3) don’t want to be a mean person. That sounds really repetitive, but it isn’t the same! Just because someone tries to be nice doesn’t mean they’re being fake. You can’t get through life being a jerk whenever you want to be!

This is a legit concern of mine sometimes. I like to think I really AM a nice person, or I try at least, but then I wonder how people perceive it or how I come off. Because if people think it’s fake then it just seems like I’m a secret bitch. Which is totally not something I want to let people in on.
